Program error

I inserted several word files into one word file, but when I save it, following message appeared and all my work lost

WINWORD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program

An error log is being created

Thanks. The version is Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1). I will install the latest Servic
Pack to see if it works.

After installed the latest Service Pack and patches for that particular version of Word, now the version is Word 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3). but it does not work, same thing happen again
