No, not really. Visio has layering capability, as does Photoshop, but the
layering capability is generally reserved to graphic editing programs.
Are you trying to do this with documents, such as Word documents? What are
you working on?

Yes, I am trying to create from word documents. Here is the thing, I would
like to create mulitple layers that look like one document per sa. I am
working on a fundraiser sponsor packet. I have mulitple documents that take
too much room and too much to send in the mail. So an idea came about to put
the docs into layers that are "hidden" behind one another and it looks like
one word document, but is placed behind one another with "tabs" that has main
headings such as Our mission, sponsor information and so forth. So instead of
10 full sheets, you recieve the same information in the packet that lloks
like one sheet into, but in different layers of information.... Example: Top
header Mission (maybe a a quarter if of the sheet) next layer will state
Sponosr information (maybe another quarter of the sheet) all the information
must not go over the size of a normal word document. Any suggestions. I can
create the format in word document, but when I print out the sheet I would
need to cut each individual sheet to equal one 81/2 by 11 and that is a lot
of work. Charity

Perhaps "chain" the documents together with hyperlinks, you could label
them "next page" or such.
