Program trying to access email addresses...

I keep getting the message 'A Program is trying to access
email addresses stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow
this?' And then the Yes/No answer bit for 1 to 10 minutes.
I get this repeatedly, even when Outlook isn't open and I
am not online.

I have tried solving it through these community groups
before but tend to get more questions and no answers! So,
I am trying again with as much info as I can in my note,
in the hope that somebody can help!!

I've checked the Task Manager and no programs are open.
My virus checker is up to date.
I use Windows XP Pro. It's Outlook 2002 that I'm using.
I use Microsoft ActiveSync as well, for my pocket PC -
don't know if that's relevant? I've tried uninstalling it
but get the same problem.
Any ideas? It is infuriating!!
Thanks

When do you see the message? When you're syncing? What version of
ActiveSync?
Do you have good AV software installed and kept updated? If not, get some
ASAP - www.grisoft.com has a nice freebie, although if I were you I'd buy
the full version. Run a full scan.

Thanks for the reply.
I use NOD32 anti-virus, which seems to win awards, and
it's up to date. I've scanned; no viruses.
I use the latest version of Activesync, but I get the
message whether I'm syncing or not, connected to my Pocket
PC or not. I removed the Pocket PC/Activesync software
comletely and stiull got the message.
Basically, it comes up all the time, whether any program
is running or not. I turn the PC on, the message appears!
After 10 minutes (if that is what I select as the time
period) it comes on again.
