program won't respond

Hi,

My Powerpoint 2002 program was working, but gradually slowing while working on a presentation. On the last save it froze and stopped responding. I was able to open the file in Explorer and complete the project. I burned it to a disk and presented it on another computer but now my Powerpoint program refuses to respond at all. I've installed the patch I was supposed to for XP...and I tried to re-install. Nothing I've tried will work and I don't know what else to do. Please help.

Thank you,

Heather
