Programmatically change Pivotchart value axis 1 scale range

Good morning,

I have a pivotchart as a subform in a report. The problem is that for
each set of records for which a subform applies, the range changes to
accomodate that particular set of records. I want to be able to force
it to take a given number I have in a query or table as the Scale
Range Custom Max for Value Axis 1.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've googled this one to death and
can't seem to find anything.
