Progress Forward of Status

R

Robb6

I have my cacluation set to manual and these three checked in under
caclulation options:

Move end of completed parts after status date back to status date.
And move start of remaining parts back to status date.
Move start of remaining parts before status date forward to status
date.

I did not check this one under options:
And move end of completed parts forward to status date.

I have also allowed tasks to split.

When I F9 to cacluate I still have progress forward of the status
date. When I use Update Project under Tracking I still get progress
drawn forward of the status date.

I am using a simple %complete tracking method and can not figure out
why I have progress forward of my status date.

Please help.

Can you provide more details of the tasks that violate what you have set up.

For example are we talking about summary tasks or actual tasks? Which
of the rules you set up below are being violated? Are the tasks
complete or is there remaining work on them?

Robert,

What happens if you try it with your calculation set to automatic?
When using Project 2007 SP-1 and the IU, I cannot reproduce what you
report, however my calculation is set to automatic. I'm not sure
why you are using manual calculation.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Dave,

Actual tasks. All of the rules are being violated. It is like they
just are not happening. Some tasks are complete and some have
remaining.

Julie,

I had tried it with auto-calc when I was troubleshooting it and
nothing changed. I just prefer manual calc.

Thank you.
