Progress info request and local resources.

Whilst testing some of the features of Project and Project Server, I
selected all tasks in Project and asked for a progress update. The
project had a mixture of enterprise and local resources. This has all
worked fine for the enterprise recourses, sending their updates back
to the PM etc…
The problem I have is how do I submit the progress update from a local
resource?
Or how do I rid the indicator column in Project of the ‘progress
request' graphical indicator for tasks containing the local resources?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Am I missing something obvious?
Or is it not possible for a local resource to respond to a progress update request?
