Prohibit users from modifying

Hi What is the best way to prevent users from modifying certain columns in an
Excel worksheet?

Hi,

Protect the sheet by doing the following:

Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet

If you want to allow some cells to be unprotected, select these cells,
right click and:

Format Cells > Protection Tab > Uncheck 'Locked'

That should do it.

The easiest way is to use sheet protection.

First, for any cells that you want the user to be able to modify, yo
select Format -> Cells... then choose the Protection tab, Uncheck th
box beside Locked, and hit OK.

Second, enable protection on the worksheet. Tools -> Protection -
Protect Sheet... You'll get a popup wherein you can type a password.
At this point, any Locked cells can't be editted by your users, whil
the Unlocked cells can be editted.
