Proj Pro2003 views/tables?

I have a couple of PM's who're developing their own client views in Project
Prof.2003.
One created a 'new' table to display the desired columns, then a new view
using that table. Then, they copied the view using the same table, to a new
view and 'hid' some of the columns. Turns out the hidden columns also were
hidden in the original new view.
What's up with that? Shouldn't you be able to create multple views using
the same table and view only the columns you want to see??

Thanks for any and all help.

Hello Mark,

Sorry, that's not how Project works. Any modifications to a table
affect all views containing that table. When your PMs copy the view,
make sure they rename the table to a new name (creating another table).
Then they may modify each table in each view to their liking.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks "JulieS" for the quick response.

Seems like kinda of a waste to do it that way, but at least we know what to
expect.
