Project 2002 - Cannot access server after restoring DB

G

Gwen

On our Development Server, we have wiped out the database
and reapplied the Sp1. XML is version 4.

I can access the project server through my web access
but if I try to access the server through my client I am
getting this message.

An exception occurred in Microsoft Project Server.
Microsoft Project Server encounterd a problem with this
error code 9334. Please contact your server administrator.

In my client Project Server Account, I get a successful
test connection to the Project Server. But it will not
allow me to log onto the server.

As the Web Administrator for the project server, I don't
see any settings under the Admin tab to change.

Any other suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Should we restore the database again?

Thanks,

Hi Gwen,

When you restored your database, did you delete and recreate your SQL
accounts MSProjectUser and MSProjectServer user, re-assign the roles and
re-run PSCom+.exe tool?

In many of my deployments and implementations I make sure I systematicaly fo
through these steps to ensure a proper reconnect to my back end from both the
thin and rich clients.

The following KB article should provide you with some guidance, if not
please contact me for further solutions. I might be able to trade off some
advice in return for some information on the Cisco load balancer and Project
Server issues I am seeing in one of our accounts for NLB and the front end
boxes.

That particular error code is not enumerated therefore I suspect it's data
access related:
