Project 2002 hangs at startup

K

Ken Shelden

I have a user that is no longer able to start Project
2002. When starting up Project, the program wants to
login to the Project Server, then just hangs. Tried
working off line, Project starts to load then hangs.
Winproj.exe pushes CPU usage to 100%

Uninstalled Project, and reinstalled, still getting the
same thing. Doesn't appear that it completely uninstalled
because it kept the Project Server accounts from previous
installation. Checked the registry but didn't really see
anything.

Please Help

Ken:

Can the user logon using another machine? If so, the user profile on the
local machine may have become corrupt. You can rename the old profile and
create a new one by having the user logon to the machine. Then migrate the
old profile elements to restore the user to normal.
