Hi!
For updating we open the commonly used resourcepool first (read/write)
and after that the right project file.
This is to be able to edit some resource information (in the pool) if
necessary.
When updating some resource assignments (as usual) we are able to save
both the project file and the resourcepool as well.
After updating some more assignment details it is possible to save the
project file again, but updating/saving the resourcepool fails.
MS Project responds sending a messagebox containing the following
information:
"The file cannot be opened. *Check that the file name and path are
correct. *Check that the file format is recognized by Microsoft
Project. Microsoft Project files saved in a version earlier that
Microsoft Project 98 can't be opened. If your file is from an earlier
version, open it in that version, click save as (File menu), and save
in MPX-format. Open the MPX-file in the current version of Microsoft
Project. When you use this method, project data is imported but
formatting is lost."

MS Project 2002 UK SP-1
Windows 2000 NL (network)
Office XP NL
No Project Server invironment
