Project 2003 Pro - SP 1 keeps crashing

Hi everyone:

I have a master project file linked to 16 subprojects.
These were one project with more than 91200 lines, which I
decided to split into 1 master file and 16 subproject
after I faced a problem getting MS Project 2003 to handle
resource leveling for this file (it took more than 2.5
hours to get me an output that needs fixing).
I have Project latest Service Pack installed (SP1). I
started getting crash opening one of the sub-project
files. Then the master file. Suddenly the subproject file
became accessible again but the master file is not. The
project program keeps crashing as soon as I open the file.
I used another PC and am getting the same problem.

I've looked at MS knowledge base for any fixes past SP1
but couldn't find anything.

Has anyone seen this happening?
Any fixes?
Any suggestions?

Hi Everyone;

I found out what the problem was, got it fixed and would
like to share with you what was it in case anyone would
face the same problem.

On the Tools,Options,View tab, I had the show external
successors & show external predecessors disabled. Which
I'm assuming to be ok. However the file was crashing until
I moved all of the subprojects linked to the master file
out of the directory that has the master project file. I
got to open it !! comparing the view tab options I got to
find out what was the difference between those for the
master and the subs.
