Project 2003: Task constraint set automatically

Hi Group,

When i enter tasks in this specific MS-Project file, a new task
automatically (or automagically) gets a constraint "start no earlier
than" & today's date. As the project spans a time between feb 15, 2007
and october 2012 i have inserted tasks between both tasks set in the
past & tasks set in the future.

Project is planned from project start date.

Anyone have any idea houw this happens / how it is turned off?

Hi,

Under Tools, Options select the Schedule tab.
Set the New Tasks option to be Start on Project Start Date, not Start on
current date.
