project 2007 and gif export

hi, I am attempting to export a gantt graph in high quality to word. Whatever
way I choose, only problem.... 1. Copy button: first option: screen -> bad
quality; second option: printer ---> only monochrome!! (how to change to
color settings??); 3. save as gif: --> in 2007 only error messages of the
graphik converting filter.... Any solution to export gif in project 2007??
Furthermore, how to get such a nice legend as in the print output?? But for
us, the print output is totally useless, because we have to implement the
graphs in complex documents. Howerver, the output of the copy button is
useless, too: What to do with graphics without any explanations (legends)???
So, any ideas and help???? Thanks so much!!

Hi Franz,

Sad to say, I can also reproduce the error message about saving a gif
and the graphic filters in Project 2007. I know it's not much solace,
but at least you know you are not alone :)

The only option I can come up with that would give you the legend is to
print the view to a PDF program (such as Adobe) and then include the PDF
image in the Word file.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

hi,
thanks! hopefully ms will solve this issue in future updates....
Adobe pdf is an option, but unfortunately MS denied to implement an PDF
import in Word, thus, it is not really feasible... Exporting the PDF to
anything else what word can understand is a little bit too much work for each
graphics..
I choosed to use a solution I used many years ago and would never expect to
start to to in 2007: printing to high res color TIFF using a special printer
driver and then import to word.... (hmmmmh, high res graphics OLE with
project would be a REALLY nice option....) thx! ciao franz

You're welcome Franz and thanks for the feedback. I'm glad to know you
got things all worked out through the TIF method.
