Project 2007 August Cumulative Update

Robert

Hello,

Microsoft announced a Cumulative Update to the end of August for Project
Server 2007, but I didn't find any update very specific to Project. Is it a
hotfix or an CU? The two words are used.
Where can we find the files and what are there true names?
Thanks for your help

Hi Robert,

Cumulative Updates are basically collections of hotfix packages that contain
the previous hotfixes as well, meaning that you can get up to date with
installing just the latest (service packs notwithstanding). The status you
can start from is listed as the prerequisites in the hotfix packages.

The Microsoft Knowledge base pages describe the contents and applicable
systems of each part of the CU.

For the August CU release (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974982), these
are the applicable hotfix packages, as listed on the CU knowledge base
article.

Hi jussi,

Many thanks for all these links! They clear the situation for me.
I'll work on that!
