Ned

I have a project file from 2003 version. Every time I load this file in 2007
it mess up all line numbers. Some tasks become group header and some task
move from one location to another under other group heading. I could not find
anybody complaining an issue like this. Sometime it also happen with 2007
format file.

Any help is appreciated,

Hi Ned,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You don't seem to have had a reply, presumably because no one has come
across this before :( Me neither! We need to discover whether your
project is at fault, whether it is Project at fault, or whether it's your
PC. Does the symptom occur with other projects on this PC? Does it occur
with this project on other PCs? Does it occur with other projects on other
PCs?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))

Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting into this issue. I know this is weired because it is only
hapening on my computer. No one in our organization has this new version
installed, they are using 2003 version and all project files are fine with
them. But the moment I open any project file on my PC using this 2007 version
it mess up all the lines.

If I re-install it I have to go through the activation pain but I can try to
repair it. What do you suggest?

Hi Ned,

Do you still have 2003 installed on your PC? If so, do the files work OK on
your PC? If they do than that certainly narrows it down to 2007
installation. You could try running the Office Diagnosis option from the
Help menu. Try the uninstall or change a program from Control panel -
select Change and click Repair. Otherwise, I recommend a re-install of
Project 2007.
