Project 2007 Ordering materials

Can you organise for project 2007 to automatically order materials at
particular times i.e. via fax or e mail 3 days prior to the given materials
being required on site ?

Out of the box, no. However via custom coding anything is possible. having
said that, project is not a job costing tool, nor is it one for managing all
your materials from order to installation, though of course you can specify
materials.

I think you would be better off looking for a job costing tool that can
handle quotes and orders as well.
