Project 7 Trial Version Custom Day/Time Issue

Project 7 Trial Version does not retain the custom working days/times entered
using the Project Guide after the file is closed? I tried a CD and the
download version on the Microsoft website. I verified that I was performing
the task correctly using a licensed copy of Project 2003. Being a student and
using the SW for a graduate assignment, the issue became quite challenging
when I had an assignment that required custom working days and times. I had
to use Project 2003 Project Guide to set my custom working days/times, open
the file in Project 2007 Trial Version and save the file as a *.mpp to make
it work. Has anyone experienced this issue?
