Project account can't log onto PWA

I have a Project 2002 server running on SP1 on a Windows 2000 server. When I
try to log onto it for the first time with a project account it will not
validate. If you log onto PWA with a domain account then log off, you can
then log onto the server with the project account. It seems to be a
permissions thing but, have checked the IIS permissions on the server and all
seems right. Any suggestions?
