Project and OLAP data is different for Baseline

Hi,

I have a problem that I am having trouble understanding.

I have defined portfolio Analyzer view to show actual work versus baseline
work, and actual work (cummulative) versus baseline work (cummulative). i.e.
to show monthly progress against the baseline.

Everything seems to work OK, from an OLAP perspective. However, my OLAP
baseline totals do not add up to the baseline in my project.

Total Baseline work in my project (as seen through statistics in Project
Pro) = 6300 hours

Total Baseline work as seen in the OLAP data = 4775.

How can these two be different?

How can I reconcile them to find out why they are different?

Cubes are updated daily at midnight so the cube should be up to date.

Thanks in advance

Simon

Simon,

Not sure if this would matter, but are all of the resources in the
schedule "enterprise resources"?

No, they are not all enterprise resources. I created some local resources to
act as placeholders until the resources that we needed were identified.
(yes, I know about generic resources, but they were not set up when this
project was started).

I think you have answered my question. As always, here's the follow up: If I
assigned all the tasks to enterprise resources, will the OLAP baseline
chnage to reflect the project?

Thanks,
Simon

NB - thanks for getting back so quickly. Much appreciated!

I've tried to fix this by assigning all tasks to Enterprise resources, and
I've updated the OLAP cube using the "update now" button.

It's now worse! 3700 hours in the Portfolio Analyzer versus the 6500 in the
project.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can get these two numbers to
"syncrhonize". I don't want to update my baseline as that is our reporting
reference...

Thanks,
Simon
