Project and word XP

I have office XP and when I install Project 2000. Word begins to generate a
an error and closes. Can anyone tell me why is that? And can you tell me if
this will continue if I upgrade my project version?

Go to Microsoft's Office Update web-site
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx) and make sure
you have the latest service packs and patches loaded for both Word XP and MSP
2000.
