Project Application Service not listed

Mike

Hello everyone, I'm install Project 2007 Server and implementing it into an
already existing Sharepoint install.

I've been using these two documents primarily for the installation...
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Offic...7c7d-4a7f-b4ea-22822df3acb11033.mspx?mfr=true
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Offic...d7c6-4108-b6fd-7eba162a5b621033.mspx?mfr=true

On the Project install, I have installed the binary files and run the wizard
to join to the sharepoint deployment. I've come to point where it states to
start the Project Application Service in the Sharpoint admin console. This
service isn't listed in the console regardless of the server role selected.
Currently I have the following services available when looking at the project
server... Central Administration, Windows Sharpoint services incoming
e-mail, Windows Sharepoint services search, and Windows Sharepoint Services
Web Application.

Thanks for any help on this.
Mike

Hi Mike,

the document is talking about the sharepoint central administration I
believe.

Mike

Thanks for the reply Marc, sorry i should have stated that more clearly, in
the sharepoint central administration, the only services I have listed are
the ones I mentioned previously. Project Appliation Service isn't listed.

Thanks though
Mike

Hi Mike,
I had the same problem during the installation of Project Server 2007 on
MOOS 2007, have you got already a solution?
I will be very thankfull

Mr. Santiago

I am also having the same exact problem with my install

MOSS 2007

2 Front Ends (Network load balanced)
2 Application servers
1 Project Server (with complete MOSS install)
clustered SQL server

The Project Application Service is nowhere to be found.

M

Mr. Santiago

I've also tried to load Project Server 2007 onto one of the application
servers (non CA). Same result the Project Application Service does not appear
in the list of services installed.

It looks like with the lack of response to this post this is a known issue
with installing this onto an existing MOSS farm.

Santiago:

You are adding a me-too post to a very old thread. The conversation history
is preserved for only 30 days on the Microsoft servers, so it may not be
possible for everyone to see what you are responding to. Better to start
your own thread and describe your symptoms and systems.
