Project binary files

Hello all, we currently have a sharepoint 2007 server deployed in our
environment running with the databases on SQL 2005. We want to add a Project
2007 Server to the already deployed sharepoint.

My question is, on the server that we are going to install the project
binary files to, do I first need to install the sharepoint binary files on
that new project server or can I simply start with the project installation?

Thanks much
Mike

Firstly, you need to run Project Setup on all servers in the farm. (this will
auto detect the presence of MOSS)

Personally I'd do a complete setup on all servers to give the option of the
services to be run on each server.

Thanks, that was my issue, I was had the sharepoint binaries installed on one
server then just installed the project binaries on another. Once both sets
of binaries were on installed on the same server, everything was working
better.

Thanks much
