"Project Calendars"

Does anyone use a project calendar that differs from the
enterprise base calendar for each project in the
enterprise?

I have read that the base calendar and the project
calendar should be in sync.

Also, I set our base calendar from 8:30 - 12:00 and 1:00 -
5:00, but specified that we work a 7 hour day for a five
day week. Do I need to make the hours in the day match
the actual hours for each day? Right now, this includes
break time that does not get reported to projects.

What about a project that has links to other project tasks.
Each Project has their own project calendar.

We have a project that has 4 projects linked to it.

We are getting the following message regarding the base
calendars....

===
There is a problem with the calendar name.

The project you are opening has a local base calendar
names that match the names of the local base calendars in
the currently open project. These include:

Calendar - Cisco Holidays

The calendar from the currently open project will
overwrite any calendars with the same name and will be
used for scheduling.

To preserver the existing calendars in the project you are
opening, click OK, close the project you ar opening
without saving, open that the project by itself. and
rename the calendars using the organizer.

To replace the existing celandar in the project you are
opening with those found in the current open project. clid
ok.
