Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view

James Culshaw

Hi,

when I try to access project center I get the following:

'Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project.'

When I look in the application event log I find the following:

I am an administrator. All the other users bar one has the same issue. They
are all Project Managers.

I have applied the patch for kb941426 and still have the same issue. This
server has been running for 14 months and the problem suddenly appeared
yesterday.

James,
I have had this same issue and have found that if I run an statistics
update query against the Published database in SQL that it will resolve this
isue.

In SQL if you have the rights, highlight databases and select new query. In
the new query window type the following

use <type published database name here>
go
exec sp_updatestats
go

Then execute the query. Once it is done, go back to PWA and refresh the
page and see if your view will load.

This has worked for us. Let me know if this helps you out.
