Project content is not showing up in Project Web Access views

Hi,

I have published several projects in Project Professional 2003, used the
build team functionality, assigned the tasks to resources, and published the
projects.

When I go to PWA and select the Project link I can see the project names.
The problem I have is that when I click on the project to see its content the
"There is no information to display in this view - Either the project manager
has not published the project plan or there is no information in the project
plan to display. " message is displayed.

I have also noticed that any change I have done to the assigned resources is
not showing up in the Project view in PWA.

I have Project Manager permission.

Thanks for the help

Mauricio

Did you specifically publish under the Collaborate menu or did you just save
the projects to project server?

Projects were saved and published both ways. The first time the project is
saved, after the enterprise fields are filled up, the project is published,
thus the extension ".published" is assigned. On a second chance I published
all assignements again using the Collaboration option.

Thanks

You need to publish the project using Collaborate - Publish - All
Information to "push" all of the project and assignment data to PWA. Merely
saving the project does not constitute publishing the project, in spite of
the ".published" extension at the end of the file name. Hope this helps.

OK, I have created two test projects: I saved one (which became published
immediatelly and messages about assigned tasks where sent to the right
resources) and I followed the Collaborate - Publish - all information
procedure on the second one (the final result was the same: messages about
assigned tasks where sent to the right resources) Both projects are visible
in Project Center and no information about the tasks is visible when I click
the project name.

I am suspecting about WSS. Does this WSS may be a cause for the problem I am
experiencing?

Thanks

Mauricio:

It sounds like some view tables aren't getting written. There are likely
errors in the application event log on the server that will give us a clue.

Ditto, I was right or at least I think WSS was the source for the problem. I
had to reinstall WSS and project server from scratch and now I have
visibility on every single project. maybe there was an easy way to solve the
issue but given the current limited knowledge I have on WSS I think this was
the right way to go.
