Hi,
I am using Project Professional 2003. If i change the standard rate of an enterprise resource, it also effects the cost of all those tasks which are 100% complete and which have the same resource assigned to them.

Suppose, if a project is complete and now i change the standard cost rate of a resource that was assigned tasks on that completed project, the project cost of the completed project also changes. What should i do? Changing the standard rate of a resource should not effect it's previously completed projects.

If the answer is that there are 5 cost rate tables and i should use them for different projects, even then it's not feasible cause a resource definitely requires more than 5 cost rate tables in his lifetime .

if anyone can please help me out, i'll be really obliged.

the effective date should take care of this, this is how
you deal with pay increases.
