Project dashboard tools : not found on your server

Hi,

I'm unable to install teamDirection Dashboard and project

I owned arround 10 licenses of groove from standard to project edition. I
used groove for the past three or four years now.

I reinstalled one of my computer, and I use the same Project activation code
and account file. But I cannot access to any of my workspace who haves
project tool.

Groove said install this tool. I click install, and then a message appears
"There was a problem installing this tool...... Requested file was not found
on server.....". I use groove 3 and I don<t want to upgrade to the microsoft
version.

What is the solution?

need to check with TD but the message means that one of the Install files was
not found on their server, which could be a temp access problem with your
internet connection, or the tool is not sold in this version anymore - i
believe there is a new version (for 2007) but it would be best to ask TD
directly - they always respond with support but may not read the message here

well, thanks

it surely not an internet issue. I download the installer from my account.
Should I find an old installer file? that's pissing me off, cause I used in
all my company, now microsoft bougth this perfect software, and the problems
come with.

seriously suggest you just call Team Direction
they are always helpful
i agree with you it is frustrating when something good turns into a problem
but it cannot be too severe
this message is usually related to when related files are not found on the
publishers site - all of us tend to keep older versions on site along with
new versions because groove will download by version

do you have any firewall restrictions on download of files ?

wish i could help more but this just seems to be a version issue that can
best be quickly sorted out by TD

Since Microsoft has recently stopped selling Groove 3.x, we have turned off
the automatic downloads for our tools and are focusing on our new tools for
Groove 2007 and SharePoint. You can still download the install files for the
TeamDirection tools here:

We will maintain support for the Groove 3.x tools until June 30, 2009. If
you would like to purchase TD Project and Dashboard for Groove 3.x, please
contact us at (e-mail address removed). We are not able to sell Groove 3.x
licenses.

To start the install process, copy unzipped gcd files to a location on your
local computer and then double click them. If you plan on inviting new users
often, you may want to save the install files to an accessible file server
that they can load from.

Finaly, you may want to check out the new IntelliGantt tools and see what
you can do today.
