Anum:

Everyone has they're own definition of "Project Dashboard." Some people
think that customizing the Project Center views is enough, others want a
complex reporting structure. If you can give us an idea of what you want,
I'm sure someone can get you pointed in the right direction.

Gary,
Thanks a lot for clarifying the things, actually i want some efficient means
for coordinating the execution of project plan,my dashboard should depict in
graphical form or tabular form:
Tasks completed, tasks in progress ,tasks not started yet
identified Risks ,risks resolved,risk changes
total defects,open defects,close defects
etc
I hope you got my point please help me how can I achieve all these
requirements using Project server

Anum:

It sounds like something you could build into the Project Workspace
template. Try customizing one with using the project viewer web part to
display views you create in Project Web Access for this purpose. You can
probably whip this up without any coding.

All of the views that you create in PWA can be displayed in SharePoint web
part pages. To learn more about SharePoint and web parts, I suggest that you
study the materials available on TechNet and MSDN. There are a number of
good books on the subject as well.

Dear Anum and Gary,

I want to display the tabular form of Tasks, Project wise on the dashboard
(i.e Home page in PWA). Could anyone help me in getting the related documents
or guide me as how I can do. I tried to read through the documents in MSDN
and TechNet as per your previous discussion. But could get properly.

I also tried to click on Online Gallery under web parts and got a message
not configured. How do I configure this ?

Thanks

Thanks

Anum,

Where are you getting the data on defects? Are you storing those in
your project plan (open, closed defects)?

By the way, I've had success created a dashboard using SQL Reporting
Services, and adding a page to Project Web Access to display the
reports. Check out SRS (new version is SSRS). This is good for single
projects, or reporting across projects, on a portfolio level.
