Project data missing from the OLAP cube

G

Georgi Zahariev

When publishing the particular project a series of errors are logged
in the application log. The most informative one is quoted below:

File: C:\Office\dev\project\WebClient\source\utility\pjadorsutil2.cpp
Line: 438
Error Number: 0x80040e2f
Description:
Assert Detected. The error code was
also included.

___________________________________

Component: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Description:
Cannot insert duplicate key row in
object 'MSP_VIEW_PROJ_TASKSPLITS' with unique index
'PK_MSP_VIEW_PROJ_TASKSPLITS'.

Re-creating the project was attempted in several ways - delete and
re-publish from back-up, copy all data and paste in a new file, etc. -
without success. The project still generates errors and does not make
it through to the cube.

There are quite a few other projects on the server, many of them
frequently updated. They show correctly in the cube. This project is
not a new one and it stopped behaving as expected after a regular
timesheet update to already existing assignments. The Project version
is 2003.

Georgi:

When you removed it from the server did you delete everything? All
assignments? The best strategy is to save as an XML file, delete the copy
from the server, and then use Tools > Enterprise Options > Import Project to
Enterprise to restore it and then republish everything.

Gary,

Exactly what you suggest had been attempted, not only with an XML, but
also with a .mpp and a .mdb file. Unfortunately the result was the
same.

We decided to delete the PK_MSP_VIEW_PROJ_TASKSPLITS index. Do you
expect any problems with that?
