Hello VP -
Stand alone versions of MS Project (including 2007) do not contain version
control.
Popular methods to implement versioning control are:
1. Place the files into version controlled folders. We usually include the
date as part of the folder name: C:\Projects\XXXX WE 20070809.
Hint: using the date in YYYMMDD format allows the sorting capabilities in
the folders to work to maximum advantage.
It is helpful, and even mandatory for things like ISO9000 compliance that
the folder be read only to preserve the information.
2. Inside the file you can use File/Properties and place version
information there.
3. Insert a spare column with with version information such as date of last
update and the author's initials. This works well in a Master/Subproject
situation with mulitple files.
