Project Files Read-Only

Valerie

When the Project Manager opens his or her own project schedule (published on
Project Server) and then tries to save it, an error occurs saying that it's a
read-onyl file.

What's up?

or 2007? Let us know.

This is probably a sign of a known bug with the Local Cache in Project
Professional 2007. Ask your PM to try these steps:

1. Click Start > Run
2. Type the following text string: %appdata%
3. Navigate to Microsoft/MS Project
4. Delete the two folders
5. Exit and relaunch Microsoft Project 2007

See if that solves the problem. If it's a Local Cache problem, it should.
