My management would like to see the difference between project finish dates
and the current date in a Project Center view. I successfully created a
customized task field (Number type) using the formula Finish-Current Date,
but I have not been able to create a similar field for projects. I have
tried Actual Finish-Current Date, Finish-Current Date, and Project
Finish-Current Date but none of them work. For example, my test project is
due to finish 2/3/05 which is 84 days from 11/12/04. But instead of 84 I get
38,306. Even when I edit the formulas by dividing by 480 (Project
Finish-Current Date/480) I still get 38,306. For another test project that
was finished 11/5/04, I get 38,216 instead of -8. Any information about what
I am doing wrong will be appreciated.
