Does any one have any recommendations for books or articles that focus on
leveling a project? I am looking for something that really gets into the
details and not just covers it in once chapter of a book. thanks in advance

In my opinion there is not a ton that can be said really, beyond what
you already know. There are features in Project that will use delay to
provide you with one possible leveling solution. But most people that I
know will tend to use manual leveling and just move assignments or
tasks around to get the right solution. This process is really more
about your knowledge of the tasks in the project and the abilities and
schedules of your resources than it is about knowledge of how project
works.
