Project Management Sofware

This might not be the right place for this question, but, as many project
managers are visiting this group, I will make a try.

I would like to complement/integrate MS Project 2003 with other PM software.
Can anybody recomment standalone, entry-level, affordable software packages
offering basic functionality for:
- Project financial management
- Project work/material reporting
- Project purchasing/inventory management

I have middle-sized construction projects in mind, but want to find
general-purpose packages.
Any experience/recommendation is welcome.

If you're specifically seeking third party solutions that integrate
with Project in these specific areas, I don't know of any. You might
try googling to see what you find. Otherwise, I reccommend:

Project Financial Management - Excel
Project Work/Material Reporting - Excel and/or Access
Project Purchasing/inventory management - Excel and/or Access
