Project Manager is gone

Carlos

So were are using Project Server 2003 and we have our PM who is set as the
Project Manager when we see the view in PWA, now that he is gone, we want to
transfer all that project ownership to some one else. How is this done.

Also, if I was to delete this user from AD right now, what would happen with
this information in Project related to that users?

Shows the old PM name where? Did you follow both sets of steps detailed in
the link in my previous reply?

Carlos

Yes i did exact steps from the email link, and when I go back to the proejct
server list, the same name is still there.

I haven't the foggiest idea what you are talking about when you say "Project
Server list." Please be explicit. WHERE in Project Server do you still see
the name?

Could it be the "Owner" name in PWA views? If that's the case, then
log into PWA as an Admin, go to the Project Center and click on the
left-most column of the row containing the departed project manager's
project(s). Then click on "Edit" in the task bar above the project
grid. The first entry should be "Owner" - select the new "owner" and
save changes.

I already detailed those steps to him. He says that he did those steps.
Where else do you think he could be talking about?

Dale -

Whoops! Didn't expand the "show quoted text" on the correct reply. In
that case, I join you in saying that I haven't the faintest idea. I
think Carlos needs to tell us in what client (Project Pro or PWA) and
what steps he took to get to that screen, so we can help him
troubleshoot.

Nice talking with you again, Dale. :)
