Project Manager is not getting the approvals

Hi :

1) When i logged in as an ADMINISTRATOR, i went to "resources"----
Adjust actuals, selected a resource and updated x resource's
timesheet, his project manager is getting the approval.

2) But when x is updating the timesheet with his credentials, project
manager is not getting the approval..........

3) I have done another step also(Make me the manager of these
assignments in Publish----Republish assignments).

Can any body give me a clarity why the project manager is not getting
the approvals.

Thank you,
Shiva Chaitanya Jayanti.

Timesheet updates goto the Timesheet Manager (defined in the user
properties), whereas task updates goto the Status Manager (defined on the
task).

Check the nominated timesheets manager and set to the desired user.

Hi

Thank you for your respone. We have moved the production server into
new instance. I have restored the database into the new server. We
have moved the new server into production server. I think a
configuration file is missing when we restored the old database into
the current database. How do we simulate that a file is missing.
Because i found out that the project managers are not getting the
approvals. Please shed some light on this issue.

Thank you,
Shiva Chaitanya Jayanti.

Hello Chaitanya,
I suggest to do the couple of below steps to make sure that your
instance properly migrated to new computer:

1) Check the Connection Info settings by using the below tool:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...72-BAA0-4030-B036-323B216D7264&displaylang=en

2) Verify the Project Manager's Project Professional client settings:

Open MS Project Pro 2003

Tools menu -> Options -> Collaborate -> Verify the Project Server
URL listed correctly and Test Connection

Thanks
