Project not scheduling days correctly

I have a simple plan that I am putting together for a garden. I have
set the working time to a copy of the 24 hour calendar with start and
end times of 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM. I have changed the Project to
ensure that it is using this copied calendar.

I have one task that starts the project (milestone). I am using this
date as the only constrained date. Everything else is being set up to
start as soon as possible. I am setting up three tasks in a set as 0
day durations (milestones). I am using a FS logic with a lag to link
the tasks. The problem is that I am getting screwy dates. For
instance, a lag of 7 days only gives me three days of scheduled time
on the Gantt.

Any suggestions.

Thanks.

Hi,

I would start again!!

Firstly a 24 hour calendar is only for jobs that work 24 hours a day such as
factory shut downs. I doubt gardeners work more than 8 hours in a day?

When you add a 7d lag, by default project converts the 7d to 7x8=56 working
hours. With 24h in a day this takes 2 and a bit calendar days. With 8h per
day in the calendar it will take 7 working days plus at least one weekend.

You can specify 7ed which is 7 working days regardless of what's in the
Calendar.
