Is there a way to show the project notes in a team project that is linked to
a master project. So when you see when you look at a task from the main
project you can see the notes for individual tasks.

Gary,
When you say, "linked to a master project", do you mean subprojects
inserted into a master, or are you using some other link structure
(Project Server perhaps)? If it is a dynamic master (Insert/Project)
with inserted subprojects, then all you need to do is to select the task
of interest and go to Project/Task Information/Notes tab.
