Project Ownership rules

Is there a way to just allow the (Owner/originator) of a project to
Collaborate, publish changes to a project? Right now if you are a PM
and a resource on a project you can publish changes and accept
ownership to the project or tasks you are assigned.

You will need to determine where the PMs are getting their rights to edit
projects which they are a team member of but not the owner. Go to the
Project Manager group and note down the categories that are associated with
that group that have the "Save Project" category permission enabled.

Then go to those categories and determine which one has the rule "Allow
users in this category to view all projects in which they are a team
member." either explicitly or through the "All current and future projects
in Project Server database" setting.

You can disable this by changing the rule to only "Allow users in this
category to view all projects they manage"

But changing this rule could cause other security changes in your system so
be aware of that.
