Project plan in visio?

Hello,
I have a detailed project plan in Project 2007 (I have copies of both Visio
and Project 2007 Standard editions) and I was wondering if there was a way to
import that plan into visio to show the work flow in more visually appealing
way. Would the WBS Modeler help with this or is there something else I
should try?

If you open Visio to the project plan template, I think there's an option
to directly open an MPP file to create a timeline view (similar to Project
2010 OOB functionality).

I was able to create a timeline view, but do you know if there is a way to
create a workflow view in visio? Ideally, it would look something like the
Network diagram view in Project. I guess if there is not, I could use the
Network diagram view for what I am doing. If I do that, is there a way to
change what fields are shown in each box in the network diagram? Thanks so
much for your help!

Sure you can modify the Network Diagram view.

1) In the ND View, click on Format > Box Styles
2) Click on the More Templates button
3) Copy the existing templates and modify their styles any way you want
(there's about 9, but you probably don't need to change all of them)
4) Go back to the Box Styles dialog box and change the base template from
the old one to the new one.
