Project plan not matching web view

Megan

We are using Project Prof 2003. We have been using it for a couple years
without this issue, but lately, updates made to the .mpp through MS Project
are not all showing up when viewing the project on the web. New tasks are
showing up on people's task lists in web, but not in the view of the whole
project. Have tried republishing and clearing out cache, but didn't help.
Any suggestions?

Hi Megan,

Here is the few trouble shooting steps:

1) Have you checked the view drop folder. Generally this folder is
located on your project server machine. The path is \Program Files
\Microsoft Office Project Server 2003\BIN\VIEWDROP

See Is there any XML files queued up? In general, when you publish
project, XML file will be generated for that particular project and
will be processed here to push the information to Project Web Access.

2)The other thing you can do, you can try to restart the Project
Server Views Notification Service (This service is available on
Project Server machine under Administration Tools)

3) If nothing worked out, the best thing is restart the project
server.

Once you done with either one or more steps of above, you can try to
publsih the project and verify it on PWA.

Good luck.

Thanks
Chak

Unfortunately none of those suggestions worked. I have given up and
published a new copy of the project, and deleted the old one. Seems to be
working fine now. Thank you anyway.
