Project Pro 2003 & MS Project 98 Same Workstation?

We are implementing Project Server/EPM 2003. We have staff
who are using and will continue to use Project 98
(standalone).

Will Project Pro 2003 and MS Project 98 co-exist on the
same work station? Same server?
If so, are there any issues we should be aware of?
Thanks

No. It is a very bad idea to have them both on the same machine. If you
need to have people that access both I would use a virtual PC software
like VirtualPC to allow them to have another "PC" where they can have
98 installed.

I had heard it was not a good idea, but have not found
anything that provides any specifics. Can you provide any
further insight into the issues with putting them on the
same machine?
Thanks

Well besides the fact that they share some commonly named dlls which
would make it scary at best I do know that which ever one you have
openlast will become the default app for opening mpp files.

You could do it and maybe never have any trouble. I golf in lightning
storms all the time but Im told it is a bad idea. ;-)
