Project Pro and Domains

Using Microsoft Project Server 2007 on a domain. I have some PM's
that are not on the domain for various reasons. They seem unable to
connect through Project Professional 2007 to the server. They have
tried manually entering <domain name>\<username> and password and just
username and password, but it keeps failing to let them in. People on
the domain go right in. Would like to avoid going the Forms
authentication route if possible. Is there a way to get non-domain
people to authenticate into PS with the thick client interface?

Thanks.

Cool. that's an easy one (once you iknow how to do it)...

(a) Go into Internet Explorer and go to Tools Internet Options

(b) Make the server trusted and go to Security, Trusted Siites, Sites. Add
the server. You will need to unchck the https:// check box.

(c) On the same panel, click on "Custom Level" and find and click on
"Enable" for "Access data sources across domains."

I think that's it if I remember everything... If not, please repost.

Thanks...

JR:

If I read you correctly, you're trying to use domain credentials for people
who are not actually logging into the domain. If so, you need to provide a
local logon ability on the Project Server. You also need to have SQL on the
same box or do the same thing with your SQL server.
