we have project server 2003 (OS is windows server 2003) installed on comapny
private LAN A, users have their project pro 2003 intallled on their PC, (some
os are windows xp pro with sp1 installed or windows 2000 pro with latest
upadte, some os are xp pro with sp2 and latest update as well as office
latest update) All these pcs are on company private LAN B which has proxy.
Those users whose OS are xp+sp1 or 2000+sp4 can connect project server via
proxy without problem. However, those users whose os are xp+sp2+latest
upadte have trouble connect to project server. Error message:"the server at
http://address_of_project_server return the following error to project:proxy
does not allow the use of your client program" What's wrong with any setting
up? Why w2k and xp+sp1 can connect without problem rather than xp+sp2?

I appreciate any clue.

Thanks
Jack

Gary:
Thank you for reply. I will try to check these articles out. So your
opponion is XP SP2 security issue may cause this problem.

I will be back whatever I figure out.

Again, Gary, thank you very much.
