Project Professional 2003 and resource skills

Babar

I am trying to create multiple skills for each resource and I am
wondering if it is possible to do it using a single field in Project
Professional 2003. For example, an installer can install speakers as
well as install door cameras. How would you create a field where
multiple skills can be selected or would you have to create a separate
field for each skill?

I would appreciate the help.

Thank you.

Babar --

You need to use one of the custom enterprise resource outline code fields
for this. Specifically, enterprise resource outline code fields #20-29 are
known as multi-value (MV) fields, as they allow for situations such as
yours. Select one of these fields, rename it, and then build the outline
code structure in the Enterprise Global. Then save and close the Enterprise
Global and close Microsoft Project as well. When you restart Microsoft
Project and log back into Project Server, you can open the Enterprise
Resource Pool and assign multiple values from this field for each resource.
Hope this helps.
