Project Professional connection

When I connect to server using Project Professional by
logging onto the windows network domain & then use the
Project Server windows login & connect the Test connection
works fine.
Whereas, while connecting using the VPN on Dial-up when I
don't login to the windows network domain & login to the
Project Server windows login & connect the Test connection
results in error. I get the windows logon screen on
connecting to Project server & it logs in fine. Only the
test connection is not working. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated?

Keep in mind that the test connection is simply pinging the site to see if
it's there. If you haven't logged in to the box yet, it can't resolve the
URL.
