Project Professional Not Responding

Charles

Hi there,
I've just installed Project Professional in a computer
client and I configured in the Enterprise Options, the
Project Server Account (administrator) to connect to the
Project Server. I tested the connection and it was
succesful, however the "Import Project to Enterprise"
options were not enabled. I restarted the client and when
I start the Project Professional it asks me for the
password of the administrator account to connect to the
Server, I type the password, but then it just stops
responding and never connects.
Anyone has any idea of what is happening?
Thanks in advance...

Charles,
Have you created an account from within Project Professional? if not Go to
"Tools/Enterprise Options/Microsoft Project Accounts" click on add and
enter Your details then click on "test" to check connection.
Best of luck,
Alan

Hi Alan,

Are there any error messages or it just stop responding ?
If it just stop responding, can you login to project
server via PWA ?

If the import option was disabled it's likely to be because you were not
connected to the database - probably had My computer account as the default.

When you first tried to connect professionional to the server, did you get
"trusted sites" dialogue box?
Can you connect from that client via the browser ?
Did you use correct administrator password?

Suggest:
1. you create a Project Manager user, set up a project server account as
previously , set connection to manual and try connecting. I you create the
account with project, close and reopen project with the new account.

2. Try accessing from another client.
