Project Professional vs. Project

Please set me straight on this. For 2007, are there still two
products on the client side, Project and Project Pro or is it just one
client product now - Office Project?

Thanks,

Andy:

Still two products and likely to continue that way for more generations. The
real difference in 2007 is whether it can connect to Project Server or not.

Gary, how can I identify that label and show that to peers? Folks say
they are confused when I call it "Professional" because we install
only one flavor in our dept. BUT, as long as there is a "Pro" and
"non-Pro", I think I should still refer to it as "Professional" so
that there is no question. Apparently, it isn't obvious to the users
that its the "Pro" version when they try to find it on their
workstation

I jump is this thread just to say that the user interfaces in Project
Standard and in Project Professional are quite the same, but Project
Professional has a Collaborate menu, while Standard doesn't have, and in the
Tools menu, there is a Build Team from Enterprise command which doesn't
exist in the Standard version.
Hope this helps,

Andy:

When you start the software, the splash screen identifies the version. As
Gerard pointed out, there are menu options that simply aren't there in
standard.
